Nathaniel Curran wins the first contest of the season today in some dramatic fashion.  Curran jumped out to an early lead in the Final by issuing several beyond-vertical backhand snaps on the lefthanders down the beach at Sebastian Inlet. The quiet regular-footer’s backside performance earned him a heat total of 15.43 out of 20, which proved to be an unattainable score for his fellow competitors.  Not too far behind him was Aaron Cormican at 15.07, but that was still not enough to beat Curran with his rediculous last stand in the waves.  This season is going to be great to watch all the riders push each other to the next level…

I never put much thought into wakesurfing at all…  I was out on a friends boat last summer when I first saw it in action.  It looked pretty sweet although I was still hesitant to try it out.  I think I am going to try it this summer.  It doesn’t look that hard so hopefully I can pick it up real quick as long as the driver doesn’t cut the engine and I fall face first into the back of the boat.  If anybody has any tips I would love to hear about them.  Still waiting on my very first video to be sent in….Let me know if you have any.

Just when you think JT and Adam Sandberg can’t top Dick in a Box they go and write this song.  Probably the best skit ever on Saturday Night Live.  I wonder what they are going to do next.  I know its tough to say but if I had a man crush it would be on JT.  He is a stud.  Gets the hotest chicks and is filthy rich.  Guy is so talented.  Give this video a listen and you will know what I am talking about.

Here is Common rockin out at Lake Tahoe last weeknd from the Dew tour.  This was one heck of a contest….The best part is that Shaun White did not win. I am sick and tired of seeing him have horrible runs and keep winning. He didn’t even deserve 3rd place here. You don’t deserve anything if you crash. PERIOD!!! Way to go Aguirre for beating this Chump. Its good to see a great rider and win and thank you judges for not fixing this contest. On another note….Torah Bright rips and not too bad on the eyes. I never really watch the chicks but she was pretty damn good. Great airs and sweet grabs…Way to go Torah!!

Shaun White won his 2nd consecutive Gold in the half pipe in the 2009 Winter X Games.  I know it is not really a surprise to anybody that he just wins all the time.  I have a gripe about this win though.  He shouldn’t have won!!!  Maybe 2nd or 3rd place is what he deserved.  His run was pretty weak and didn’t go nearly as big as the current leader at the time.  Kevin Pearce should have won this…His run was awesome and he clearly beat Shaun, but I guess when your famous like Shaun you get some special treament.  Well, we all know you won it Kevin and I look forward to watching you all year.  Hopefully you don’t get screwed again.

This clip is awesome.  SNL has been going downhill for years, but every once in a while they come up with something great.  This is one of those times.  I think think this kid is on his way to a big career.  The next Will Ferrel.  If anybody has any clips like this send it on in.

I know this isn’t a board sport but I had to post this.  This is probably one of the craziest and coolest things I have ever seen someone do.  I can’t believe someone volunteered to do this.  It seems like suicide to me.  It is nice to see he is alright with only minor injuries.  I wonder who is going to step this up a notch.  I will definitely tune into that as well.  If anyone has any cool videos like this shoot them on over to me so I can post them.  ENJOY

This is a pretty dope clip of a Red Bull contest,08.  I can’t wait to hit the slopes again.  I was reading an article in regards to the out of bounds in Aspen that they are really cracking down and giving out some pretty huge fines.  BASTARDS taking away all the fun.  I think if you want to risk it that is your business.  As long as your not burning the forests down people should leave you alone.  the resorts are just pissed cause they missed out on the WAY over priced lift tickets.

The Dew Tour got kicked off in Breck this weekend with none other than Shawn White and company ripping up the half pipe and slope style.  Danny Davis won the half pipe and Davis’ winning run included a switch backside 720, a backside 900, a frontside 1080 into a cab 1080, to finish with a frontside 900.  Shawn White won the slope style.  The 22-year old White scored a 95.17 on his second run, which began with a frontside 270 at the top rail, a frontside 1080 on the first jump to a backside 900. He finished with an impressive 1260, a three and a half revolution spin, on the bottom jump.  I am looking forward to this year, hopefully someone can give White a push for the gold.
